TANGKAAN BEACH RESORT: A ROCKY PARADISE

Image
Tangkaan Beach in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte is the only white sand that can be found in the whole mainland of Leyte. The beach in the Eastern part of Leyte is made of black sand, while in the Western part it is mostly of pebbles and stone and rocks. However, Tangkaan beach proves to be different. Not only has it white sand for the beach but it also has some beautiful rock formations. The sea is clear and surprisingly it has beautiful corals teeming with small fishes just two or three meters from the shore during low tides.  The name itself has a story. " Tangka " means attempt. In the past, there have been several attempts by the Moros to raid the place, but they could not get to land their boats because of the strong currents.  When you look into the pictures,  without having clue where this place is, you would immediately assume this is somewhere in Palawan,  yes? But NO,  you're wrong. This is Tangkaan Beach.  PALAWAN TANGKAAN This beautiful beach with pictures roc

It is the place where the first Christian Mass was celebrated in the Philippines on March 31, 1521. Speaking of this small yet beautiful paradise, it has a unique shoreline with big and exotic rock formations. You will find yourself mesmerized as the small waves crash with the rock formations just along the shoreline of the beach. Today, Limasawa Island has become a tourist spot for both locals and foreigners not just because of its religious and historical but also for its natural attractions like beaches and lagoons. KALANGGAMAN ISLAND

Kalanggaman Island is shaped like a bird, reason why its name is derived from the local word "langgam" that means bird. This sandbar off the coast of Palompon, Leyte has gained popularity in recent years, but it has long been a local secret. Kalanggaman is hemmed in by palm-studded, cream sand and lapped by swirling, turquoise sea.  Unknown to many tourists, Kalanggaman  Island's real gem is hidden underneath. this famous sandbar is actually a marine sanctuary oozing with gorgeous marine life and corals. In fact, it is a famous dive spots for divers coming from Malapascua Island, which is about 2 hours away by boat. If you don't know how to dive, you can snorkel in the reef drop-off near its shore. Here's in Kalanggaman Island Travel Guide with itinerary and budget to help you plan your trip. The Sandbar at Kalanggaman Island Kalanggaman is not a large island and it did not take long for us to reach the opposite end. Here the ravages wrought by Yolanda were mor
